Household Cleaning Tips

Looking for some new household cleaning tips? You've found the right place!

Cleaning your home shouldn't have to be a dreary or difficult task and I'm going to show you how you can streamline the way you clean your home (yes, even the nooks and crannies) efficiently and easily without draining your household budget.

Your New and Improved Household Cleaning Tips and Techniques

  1. Save money by making your own household cleaners from scratch. Vinegar, borax, water, baking soda, isopropyl alcohol, lemon, cornstarch, soap, and good old-fashioned elbow grease will take you a long way toward a cleaner home without harmful chemicals and odors.
  2. Create a weekly checklist for house cleaning and stick to it.
  3. Keep all of your cleaning supplies in a portable caddy so you can move it from room to room with you. Some women prefer to wear an apron with several pockets that hold everything. Do whatever works for you. Example: take each room and organize the space and items in it like laundry room organization.
  4. Begin the cleaning process by picking up or de-cluttering. Simply put, pick it up and put it where it belongs. This step makes cleaning go much quicker.
  5. One of my favorite household cleaning tips is to put on some music that motivates you. Much like being on the treadmill, most women don't enjoy cleaning, so put on some music to keep you moving (you might even have fun!)
  6. Clean one room at a time from top to bottom, literally. Begin at the top of the room and work your way down so that once you've vacuumed the carpet, you know the dust from the shelves or windowsills above isn't going to float down. Move this way throughout the house until you're finished. Put your home organization tips into practice.
Here are some fun and interesting home cleaning tips that may surprise you and may inspire you to go tackle that stain just one more time with these tips in hand.
