Kool Aid Playdough Recipe
This Kool Aid playdough recipe is easy to make and MUCH cheaper than the ready-made variety!
Kids everywhere (and - admit it - even us adults) love playing with play dough. The problem is, it can get expensive, particularly if your children (like mine) forget to put the play dough back into its containers so that it completely dries out!
So here's a recipe that all moms should have - and which you'll find INVALUABLE as a WAHM looking for an easy and inexpensive way of keeping your kids occupied whilst you work!
Note: Making this Kool Aid Playdough recipe is as much fun as playing with it, so this is a good family activity to do together!
Kool Aid Playdough Recipe
The following list of ingredients is my 'per child' amount, with every child using a different color of Kool Aid.
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup boiling water
1 package Kool Aid (unsweetened)
Combine the flour, salt and Kool Aid in a bowl.
ADULTS ONLY DO THIS STEP: Pour in the water and oil and mix well.
When the dough is cool enough to handle, knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
Your Kool Aid play dough is now ready to use!
It should smell nice and look pretty - and it will last for ages if your little angels remember to put it into zip top bags or containers with lids when they've finished.
I find that this Kool Aid playdough recipe produces play dough that lasts even longer than the ready made kind - and, at just a few cents per pot - it's certainly a lot cheaper!
