Making Money From Home

I've done it all--daycare, sewing, phone calls for databases. I've sent away for the "earn money from home reading books" pamphlets; I've tried making earrings and getting paid by the piece. I've sewn organic comforters; I've made soap to sell at Holiday Fairs. I have sold MLM products and made cold calls to strangers. I have even made mortar samples for a mortar company.

None of it worked.

I got tiny amounts of money or the work was tedious, inconvenient and boring.

My most satisfying work has been building an online business. I feel proud, dignified and like a true business owner.

I love being in charge of my own schedule and my own success. I love coming up against challenges which I must overcome. I love doing things which I thought I couldn't do.

My business is still in its infancy. I don't earn enough to replace my other jobs but I see success on the horizon.

But even though my work at home is not supporting me, I wouldn't give it up. I have never found work which inspires me as much or which gets me as excited as working on my websites. Usually I have more trouble stopping my online work (and making dinner), than I do motivating myself to get started.

Good training and good mentorship is vital to making an online business work, especially if this is all new to you. My business has gone slowly as I make mistakes and correct them. If I could give any mother who wants to work from home a gift, it would be a great guide to lead her through the learning process.

With the right guide (and a lot of hard work), anyone can do this business.
