Online Jobs
Think about the skills that you have and how those skills could benefit a company. Many online jobs require typing at the computer - or having various computer skills. Some may require outside research while others may require use of a telephone.
Let's go over the different types of online jobs:Customer service - This is when a company hires you to answer phone calls and / or email questions. Normally you can choose to work within a set time frame and you're paid by the hour. You need a head set and high speed internet, so you can access the companies pages fast in order to answer inquiries. Working Solutions is a website offering legitimate customer service positions. They don't charge a fee, but in order to register with them you will need to complete a rigorous application process. Freelance Work - You can hire yourself out as a private contractor and type articles as a ghost writer. Or make graphics or design websites (if you have the skills). If you are good with editing you can be an editor. Or you can be a "maintenance person" where a site owner will hire you to maintain their site - make link exchanges, add new pages, etc.

Go Freelance Two other sites listing freelance work (for free) are www.sologig.com and www.sunoasis.com. ebay eBay is a wonderful way to put your toes in the water of the online retail world. There are many retail websites that do very well, and most are owned and run by someone who stays home. Ebay is a good way to test the market. There are a million resources online telling you how to make money with eBay (many of which require parting with your own money first) - but my recommendation is begin with eBay's Getting Started page and learn more about the way everything works before deciding if this is the option for you. You might also like to read my eBay page for more information. Website - You can start a website and you have several options here. You could do a retail website where you sell hard goods and ship them from your home. Or you could do a "drop-ship" site where you sell the items, but another website or business drop ships for you, which means they package and deliver the items. This is the best option for many WAHMs, who do not have the space to store large amounts of stock. But BEWARE - there are may companies out there offering information about dropshipping at a cost - and the information they give is often misleading or outdated. The only genuine dropshipping company I've ever come across (and used) is www.worldwidebrands.com. Alternatively, you could do an 'information only' website and earn money from affiliate income, which is when people click on (or buy from) your ads. Helper - I have run across countless websites that are looking to outsource different aspects of their business. From answering phones via customer service, to order taking, to order fulfillment to webmaster duties, there's an abundance of opportunities if you wish to work for a web-business owner. Just check those little 'job opportunity' links for online jobs (which usually appear at the very ottom of the page).
Whichever option you decide to pursue, you'll find that online jobs really are available if you look in the right places. You need to be
persistent - don't be afraid to email site owners offering your services. Look for those links that say "employment
opportunities" at the bottoms of the pages, which many companies have . Look at online classifieds and freelance websites
for jobs posted, and post your own services wherever you can.
