WAHM - One Mom's Story

I've worked in many fields in my (long) life. I have owned several retail businesses including a successful arts and crafts store and, with my husband, three carpet and flooring stores. I worked for some years in a program for at risk children for a social service agency. I am, at present, a leadership consultant in a small Minnesota consulting firm.

Several years ago, I developed a passion for sharing what I have learned over the years and also being able to work from home. With 5 grown children and 11 grandchildren I had a "ready-made" audience but wanted to expand my horizons. My Advice From Mom web site grew out of that passion.

Once I learned to build a web site, I built one for my consulting business, a Minnesota travel site, and a recipe site that is all about potatoes!

Other than attending a few meetings a month with my consulting partners, I now work full time from home. I connect with clients for the consulting business on my Action Wheel Leadership site, arrange travel for those who want to visit Minnesota via my Visit Minnesota site, share recipes on my Best Potato Recipes site, and, oh yes, have a forum for all the advice and tips I can come up with on my Advice From Mom site.
